GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
Prepares and assembles food items for patients on regular and modified diets, cafeteria customers and for hospital patients. Delivers and retrieves patient food trays. Performs cleaning procedures on food service equipment and work areas. May be asked to shuttle food products to sites of off the main hospital campus.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
1. High School Diploma preferred.
2. Competency in basic reading and oral communication
3. Must be able to operate equipment used by Food Service personnel
4. Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines to keep equipment clean
5. Previous food service experience helpful
6. Must be able to acquire Oregon Food Handlers Certificate
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Meets medical center's Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.
2. Prepares and assembles food items for patients on regular and modified diets, as well as cafeteria customers.
3. Delivers and retrieves patient food trays.
4. Serves food items to cafeteria customers.
5. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas.
6. Assists in dish room as needed.
7. May be required to shuttle food products to off campus locations (if this is a requirement of the job/position then a drivers license record will be required and a valid Idaho Driver's License).

Schedule: Per Diem/Extra On-Call
Shift: Flexible
Hours: Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
