Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILLStreet Department Supervisor Careers - Ontario, OR The Challenge! CH2M HILL will provide public works services to the City of Ontario, OR. We are currently seeking a qualified Street Department Supervisor to direct, manage, supervise and coordinate the activities and operations of the Roadway Maintenance Division within the Public Works Departments and provide administrative support to the Public Works Manager.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assumes management responsibility for assigned services and activities of the Streets Division including construction, maintenance, repair, sweeping, and improvements of the City streets and sidewalks
Manages and participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and priorities for assigned programs
Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned staff; assigns work activities, projects, and programs; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems; develops and implements long and short term plans, goals, and objectives for the division
Monitors inventory levels of supplies; ensures availability of adequate materials to conduct work activities; initiates requests for new or replacement items
Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends, within departmental policy, appropriate service and staffing levels
Inspects public works facilities and infrastructures; visits work sites to monitor progress and quality of work performed, provides direction, and assists in resolving problems encountered in the field
Responds to emergencies, assesses situation and initiates appropriate response; coordinates with applicable agencies, and monitors traffic impact
Develops and administers budget for the department; monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budget; reviews and recommends capital equipment needs for department; reviews and prepares contracts for bids to outside contractors
Serves as the liaison for the Streets Maintenance Division with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; negotiates and resolves sensitive and controversial issues; represents the department at community
Prepares, reviews or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, time cards, supply lists, or other documents, including agenda items and topics for Public Works Committee
Develops and ensures the implementation of staff training programs which provide opportunity for individual employee growth
Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and developments in the field of street maintenance; incorporates new developments as appropriate
Performs other similar duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
5 years of Street Maintenance Experience
3 years of Supervisory Experience
Valid Driver's license with no major infractions
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Engineering, Transportation, Public Administration, or related field

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
